A HAVERFORDWEST man has been fined after an assault at a pub in the Pembrokeshire town.
Dylan Thomas, of Maple Avenue, appearing before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, July 14, pleaded guilty to assault by beating, contrary to section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act1988.
On January 9, 2026 at The William Owen in Quay Street, Haverfordwest, Thomas assaulted an individual by beating. Taking his guilty plea into account, he was fined £259. No compensation was ordered, as it was found in court that imposition of compensation “would seek to inflame the situation.”
Costs to Crown Prosecution Service were £85, plus a surcharge of £104, the total £448 to be paid in monthly instalments of £40, starting from August 11.
