IN addition to fighting crime and responding to emergencies, local police teams have been getting out into the community, meeting people, running drop-ins and patrolling ASB hotspots.

Carmarthen, Whitland and St Clears Neighbourhood Policing and Prevention Team held a beat surgery at Xcel Bowl, Llansteffan Road, Johnstown, on April 22, while the Tenby, Saundersfoot and Narberth Team were at the Tenby Town Council Office on April 24 to meet with the local community.

On April 17, PCSO 8020 dropped into Pater Hall Warrior Warm Room in Pembroke Dock, where there were lots of people to chat with and the ladies served a delicious lunch.

PCSO Cardy attended The Tenby Project on Monday, April 20, where service users had the rare privilege of dressing up as police officers and doing their own fingerprints!

On April 21, PCSO Adam and County Councillor Michael John went out and about in Freystrop, Hook and Llangwm, discussing local issues and patrolling ASB hotspots. They then attended Llangwm Village Hall for the warmer rooms coffee morning, engaging with local residents.

PCSO Adam has also been out in Broad Haven with County Councillor Nick Neumann speaking to residents and signing people up to Dyfed Powys Police’s new messaging service.

Dyfed-Powys Connects is a free, easy email messaging service that allows local officers to keep residents informed about issues relevant to you in their local area.
