PEMBROKESHIRE’S VC Gallery welcomed friends from Swansea-based disaster food aid charity V-Aid recently. Tony and team visited VC Gallery Pembroke Dock in the morning and Haverfordwest in the afternoon.

Through V-Aid’s programmes:
Veterans in crisis can access an emergency parcel through veterans’ hubs or support groups across the UK.
Vulnerable inmates leaving Swansea prison without any support in place can receive a three-day emergency parcel containing food and hygiene essentials to help them through the critical days between release and securing further assistance. Families of inmates, who for any reason require immediate food and basic necessities, can receive urgent support through this program.
Emergency Response Parcels with freeze dried ingredients are stored for use by V-Aid and its partners responding to disasters and emergencies in the UK and abroad.
The charity’s Humanitarian Response training programs for inmate, veteran, and civilian volunteers help to build a bank of volunteers who can assist not just V-Aid but other humanitarian aid partners to bring relief to those in desperate need.
Internationally, V-Aid continues to collaborate with UK and global partners in Ukraine and other regions to provide essential food, vehicles, medical supplies and humanitarian aid to those in greatest need.
Tony and his team were able to see first hand the projects undertaken by VC Gallery - a unique local charity for veterans and the community, combining arts and creative engagements with mental health support and counselling services.
