A Pembroke woman was fined in court this week after admitting using threatening and abusive behaviour.
Twenty-nine-year-old Lisa Wheelhouse, of Southdown Close, pleaded guilty to the charge when she appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
Prosecutor Rhys Thomas told magistrates that the defendant had approached the complainant Natasha Helena Davies in Pembroke Dock, on April 14, in public and called her a number of unpleasant names using foul language.
“A member of the public intervened and held Ms Wheelhouse back, before the complainant contacted the police,” explained Mr. Thomas, who said that the defendant was still subject to a 12 month conditional discharge imposed for a battery charge last August.
Ms Wheelhouse’s solicitor, David Williams, told the court that there had been some history between the two parties involved, but that there were no actual threats of violence made by his client, either spoken or physically.
“She deeply regrets the matter and is very embarrassed to be here in court today,” he said.
Magistrates fined the defendant £75 for the offence and ordered her to pay costs of £85, a court charge of £150, and a £20 victim surcharge.
Ms Wheelhouse was also fined a further £20 for breaching her conditional discharge.
