The former Mayor of Pembroke faces a Friday the 13th court hearing next month after being charged with historic rape and sexual assault offences.
Fifty-seven-year-old David Boswell, of Bush Street, appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court, on Tuesday, to face six charges of indecently assaulting two girls under the age of 14.
The defendant, who also serves as the county councillor for Pembroke St. Mary North, also faces an allegation of raping a girl under the age of 16.
The offences are alleged to have been committed between 1991 and 1994.
Clr. Boswell’s defence solicitor, Mike Kelleher, told the court that the allegations would be defended ‘rigorously’ in the crown court.
A hearing was set for Friday, October 13, at 10 am, at Swansea Crown Court, and Clr. Boswell, who stepped aside from his role as Mayor following the charges, was released on unconditional bail.
