Pupils representing Pembrokeshire school councils attended a conference on children’s rights at the Pembrokeshire Archives on Friday.
The subject of this year’s Student Voice Conference was ‘Having a Say and Making a Difference in Your School.’
The guest speaker was Sally Holland, Children’s Commissioner for Wales.
The young people - representing 40 school councils - also took part in workshops learning about group dynamics (‘Who’s Who in the Human Zoo’); action planning (along the lines of The Apprentice TV programme with £300 available for the best idea) and children’s rights (with practical ideas on how to promote children’s rights in school).
The conference was organised by Pembrokeshire County Council’s Children and Young People’s Rights Office.
