A local councillor has urged the public to attend a drop-in event for Tenby Surgery patients next week.
From August 1, Tenby Surgery will become directly managed by Hywel Dda University Health Board, and work is underway with the staff and teams in the practice to ensure continuity for patients.
In a bid to reassure patients that the practice will remain open, and that they will be able to access services as normal, the Health Board have arranged a public drop-in session at the Day Room at Tenby Hospital on Monday, with residents invited to call in any time between 3 and 7 pm on the day.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas, who is also secretary of the South East Pembrokeshire Community Health Network, said that it was important for local residents who may have concerns about GP services, to attend to pass on their views to members of staff from the practice, the Health Board and the Community Health Council, who will be available to speak with attendees.
“I’d like everybody to make an effort to go to this drop-in event,” Clr. Mrs. Thomas said.
