WITH palliative care provision across the county increasingly limited, the Paul Sartori Foundation is launching its Together for Tomorrow 2026 campaign to protect the choice to receive care at home, with comfort, dignity, and kindness.

The Paul Sartori Foundation is Pembrokeshire’s only Hospice at Home service, providing a wide range of free care and support to people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as to their families. The campaign brings together Paul Sartori staff and nurses, volunteers, supporters, fundraisers, local businesses, and official organisations.

Local businesses and organisations are encouraged to step up as Corporate Care Champions. In 2025, support from the South Hook LNG Community Fund, managed by PAVS, provided £1,000 to purchase 40 branded fleeces for Paul Sartori’s dedicated event volunteers. This was alongside funding from the Port of Milford Haven Community Fund, which enabled the charity to purchase 30 branded polo shirts, helping volunteers feel supported, visible, and valued.

Community fundraising remains at the heart of the campaign. The Slipway Ukes have chosen Paul Sartori as their Charity of the Year for the third year running in 2026, raising funds through uplifting ukulele concerts across the county. They will join forces with Pembrokeshire Pop Voices and Footbridge for a special concert at the Regency Hall, Saundersfoot on Saturday, March 28.

Support does not have to come from groups or organisations to make a difference - individual generosity plays a vital role. The Redding family recently donated an incredible £2,000 to show their gratitude for the care given to the late Sydney Redding, enabled the charity to purchase a brand-new specialist bed, which will help local patients receive the very best care in the comfort of their own homes.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Claire Redding said, “We were surprised how affordable it was to pay back Paul Sartori for what they have done for us as a family.”

Others choose to give back by taking on a personal challenge. From running the Tenby 10K or the Cardiff Half Marathon, to setting a goal that pushes comfort zones, these individual fundraising efforts make a real difference. Some supporters have reached for the stars, including a group of thrill-seeking fundraisers who completed the highest tandem jump in the UK in autumn 2025, raising over £7,000 to support hospice at home care.

For those who may not want recognition and would prefer to give quietly, support can be offered simply by signing up for regular giving. Monthly donations provide steady funding that allows Paul Sartori to plan ahead and continue delivering specialist care in people’s homes.

The charity’s services include specialist home nursing care, complementary therapies, advance care planning, bereavement support and counselling, and training, and the very practical equipment loan service, all designed to help people remain at home, supported and comfortable.

Paul Sartori also offers Future Care Planning services. These support people to think ahead about their future healthcare wishes, helping families feel reassured and ensuring compassionate end-of-life care can continue for generations to come.
