LOCAL MP Henry Tufnell visited Ysgol Harri Tudur / Henry Tudor School in Pembroke this week, referring to the visit as a “pleasure”.

The Labour MP for Mid and South Pembrokeshire commented: “Following the recent special measures placed on the school, I spoke directly with the headteacher about the measures that are needed to improve performance. It is clear that a new approach and practical steps moving forward are needed.

“I was therefore pleased to hear that staff will be visiting schools elsewhere in the UK, to learn from their successes in overcoming similar challenges.

“It is vital that all levels of government work together collaboratively,” he added, “to ensure that our talented students in Pembrokeshire can achieve their full potential.”
