A PEMBROKE Dock man has been sentenced for assault, violent entry to a property and theft of two bottles of wine from Morrisons Daily.

Alfie Shelley, of Laws Street, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Monday, July 20.

Changing his pleas, the 27-year-old admitted assaulting a woman by beating her at a Bush Street premises on May 23 and to using violence to securing entry to the same on May 24.

Shelley was handed a two-year community order with rehabilitation activity up to 20 days’ maximum and a restraining order.

The court did not order compensation for the beating as “no injury was caused.”

Costs of £400 were added to a £120 fine for the assault and £16.50 compensation for the theft.
