A PEMBROKE DOCK driver has been disqualified for over a year and fined £645 after driving while under the influence of cannabis.
Abraham Mahovo, of Bellvue Terrace, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on July 8.
The 37-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall car on the A477 at Johnston with a proportion of the controlled drug cannabis in his blood above the specified limit.
Although the guilty plea taken into account, the offence carries an obligatory disqualification. Mahovo was disqualified from driving for a period of 15 months. In addition, the amount of the fine was set at £400.
Costs to Crown Prosecution Service were £85, and a surcharge of £160 was added, to fund victim support services.
