A KILGETTY man who pleaded guilty to careless driving and drink driving has been sentenced at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court.
Vaughan Beynon, of Park Avenue, appearing in court on Tuesday, June 16, confessed to driving a motor vehicle at Kilgetty on May 25 after consuming so much alcohol that a breath test showed a result more than three times the legal limit. He also admitted driving on a public road without due care and attention.
In addition to a 26 month disqualification, the 61-year-old was made subject to a community order, with a maximum of 15 days’ rehabilitation activity. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay costs of £85 plus a surcharge of £114.
A no-points endorsement was added for the careless driving offence.
