The President welcomed everyone to the meeting which was held observing the current Covid restrictions.
She asked members to stand in memory of late member and friend Janet Arthur, a member for over 50 years and also to pay tribute to the late Geoff Chandler, husband of member Carol.
Members’ thoughts and prayers are with both families especially over this Festive period. Details of the minutes of the last meeting were read and sanctioned. Up and coming birthday greetings are sent to Elvina G, Carol C and Mary G.
The business part of the meeting was dealt with and the County newsletter was perused. Ruth was congratulated on coming second in the County Wide Art competition. Members have been busy crafting over the last twelve months and brought items to be distributed to OXFAM, Pembrokeshire Homeless, Dementia Friends and the Special Baby Unit, Hywel Dda Trust. Donations from members of food and presents will be donated to local charity PATCH in time for their Christmas distribution.
Members then enjoyed mince pies, stollen and sausage rolls with a cup of tea and finished off the meeting by observing the long tradition of singing (with masks on) Away in a Manger.
The next meeting on January 5 will see teams compete against one another in an indoor Kurling match.
