A Stepaside motorist charged with drink-driving is to go on trial next month after denying the allegation.

Fifty-one-year-old Ian Sparrey, of Bryn Beudy, appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, to plead not guilty to driving his Mercedes, on The Ridgeway, in Saundersfoot, whilst exceeding the prescribed alcohol limit.

Magistrates heard that Mr. Sparrey is alleged to have got behind the wheel of his vehicle on December 16, whilst over the limit, with a reading of 59 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, provided at the police station after his arrest.

A trial date for the Haverfordwest court was set for February 19.
