A MILFORD Haven man has been sentenced after drink driving in the town while disqualified.

Ian Evans, 37, of James Street, Hakin, appearing before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court, pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified on November 14, and to driving a BMW 320 on Harbour Way, Hakin while over the alcohol limit.

The guilty plea was taken into account, but the offences were aggravated as similar offences had been perpetrated within a ten-year-period. Evans was sentenced to 12 weeks’ and eight weeks’ imprisonment consecutively (20 weeks in all), suspended for 12 months. Requirements include 200 hours of unpaid work and up to 15 days’ rehabilitation activity.

A victim services surcharge of £154 was added to CPS costs of £85.
