A prolific shop-lifter accused of multiple offences will stand trial at Swansea Crown Court next month.

Twenty-eight-year-old, Adam Barlow, of Kavanagh Court, Pembroke Dock, appeared from custody at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Monday after being arrested over the weekend.

The defendant denied the charges of assaulting a police officer, attempted theft and threatening to destroy or damage property.

He is alleged to have committed the offences between January 17 and January 19.

Mr. Barlow is also charged with four counts of theft after he stole over £1,300 worth of goods from; Asda in Pembroke Dock, the Tesco store in Haverfordwest and twice from the Tesco store in Milford Haven between January 7 and January 15.

The defendant admitted these offences when asked to enter a plea and will be sentenced for them following the conclusion of his trial.

Mr. Barlow was ordered to appear at Crown Court on February 21 for a further hearing after magistrates declined jurisdiction of the case.

He was remanded in custody as he had already been recalled to prison for a separate matter.
