A man from Pembroke Dock will appear at Swansea Crown Court next month faced with charges of fraud and receiving stolen goods.

Thirty-year-old Daniel Sean Brookes, of Bush Street, currently on remand at Swansea prison, appeared via videolink at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

The defendant was charged with committing fraud by dishonestly making a false representation, namely cashing a stolen cheque to the value of £1,536, intending to make a gain on October 7, and causing loss to Ramsdens in Haverfordwest; and dishonestly receiving stolen goods, namely a cheque to the value of £1,536 belonging to The Longhouse Restaurant in Freshwater East, knowing it to be stolen goods. He entered no pleas to both charges.

The court heard that Mr. Brookes was currently remanded in custody on a robbery matter.

He will appear at Swansea Crown Court on March 3 for a hearing on the latest allegations.
