A Milford man has been fined after being found in possession of cannabis.

Kyle Hudd, of Larch Road, was charged with two counts of possessing cannabis,

when he appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on October 29.

The court heard that the offences took place on September 26.

Prosecutor, Vaughan Pritchard-Jones told the court that police executed a search warrant at an address where the defendant was.

Mr. Hudd was asked by an officer if he had anything on him, and he volunteered to hand over the drugs that were on him.

He was found to be in possession of 3.7 grams of cannabis.

Mr. Hudd told police when interviewed that the drugs were for his own personal use.

Defence solicitor Jonathan Webb said it was bad timing that his client happened to be at the address at the same time when police carried out the search warrant.

He said the defendant accepted the drugs were his and he was using them to self-medicate.

Mr. Hudd was fined £160 in total for both offences and ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs, along with a £32 victim surcharge.
