Tenby RNLI’s Inshore lifeboat was launched twice in a day on Tuesday in a busy end to July.
The first shout of the day came at 12.45 pm after a report that a child had gone missing on the South Beach.
The lifeboat was quickly on the water, and as the volunteer crew were searching between Castle Beach and Giltar, whilst RNLI lifeguards and Coastguard searched the beach, news came through that the child had been found safe and well.
All units were stood down and returned to station.
The second shout of the day came shortly before 11 pm, after a report from a member of the public that a person had entered the water near Goscar Rock fully clothed but had not been seen to return.
The lifeboat was launched within minutes and the volunteer crew began a search between the Lifeboat Station and 1st Point, whilst Police and Coastguard teams searched from the shore.
After a thorough search, and with nothing found and nobody reported missing, the lifeboat was stood down and returned to station at 12.30 am.
