Alison Lewis, coach at Tenby Tennis Club, was victorious in both the ladies singles and mixed doubles county veterans tournament held last week in Haverfordwest.

Following several knockout rounds during the week, the final was held on Saturday, with many spectators treated to excellent tennis in this county tournament for over 45s.

Alison had an emphatic win in the singles title with a final score of 6-0, 6-0.

Later in the afternoon she was back on court with partner Andrew Brown, of Haverfordwest Tennis Club, and had a lengthy and well-fought battle against Yan Morris, senor coach at Tenby Tennis Club, and his partner, Lucy Brooker, of Lamphey Tennis Club. After a third set championship tie-break, Alison and Andrew finally won to take the mixed doubles title 4-6, 6-3, (10-6).
