COMMODORE’S QUIZ

The Commodore’s Quiz is held on the last Saturday in every month, the league works up to a grand final in November where a charity chosen by the league teams will be given a (hopefully) large donation.

The next quiz will be on Saturday, February 24, starting at 7.30 ish. The cost is £5 for a team of up to six people or £1 if you fancy your chances and go it alone.

There will also be a raffle run at a cost of £1 a square; any donations will be gratefully received.

Dinghy Show 2018

This year, TSC will be attending the RYA London Dinghy show at Alexandra Palace on Saturday, March 3. We will be there to talk to classes interested in holding National Championships at TSC. We are looking for classes 2023 onwards who have at least 60 active boats.

Rugby

Wales continue their Six Nations campaign this weekend. At 4.45 pm on Saturday they face England. So why not come down to the club to watch the game and enjoy the atmosphere. The clubhouse will be open for pre-match beverages.

February 17/18 - RYA mark laying course.

June 23 - Junior training day.

June 24 - CYRC Junior Regatta.

June 30 - TSC Regatta (volunteers required).

July 1 - Round Caldey race (volunteers required).

Then finally, August 4-10 - Scorpion National Championships (volunteers required).

Membership renewal

Renewals were due in January. The first full member in a household is £60, but if you renew before January 31 you will receive a £5 bar voucher to be spent at the club bar. The senior citizen rate applies to those aged 65 and above.

It is hoped that the club will be installing a new caterer very soon. As soon as details are finalised, then information will be posted across our social media pages and website.

The club is also hosting a Valentine’s Night at the club on Saturday, February 17, with more details to come this week.
