Even though sailing has finished and all the dinghies are back in their various barns, sheds and carports for winter storage, there are still plenty of social events planned at the club during the off-season, and the clubhouse bar is open from 6.30 pm every Friday and Saturday over the winter. Plus we have the new monthly Commodore’s Quiz which takes place on January 27 at 7 pm in the clu. All teams are welcome; there will also be a wine raffle on the night.
So, whether you just come down for a drink and a chat or to see who has the biggest brain, all members and non-members are welcome.
Upcoming Event
On January 20 there is a sailing meeting at 5 pm; this is a discussion and conversation about the upcoming season for both dinghy and cruiser sailors. Ideas and suggestions of events that people would like to see organised next season are welcomed.
And after the meeting there will be a food at 7 pm for £7.50. This will be prepared and served by one of the possible candidates for taking over the galley kitchen next season. All sailors and non-sailors welcome to come and try what they have to offer.
