Club Sailing
Cold and gusty conditions faced the brave souls who ventured out onto the water for two frostbite races on Sunday morning. The races were run by PRO Jo Musson, assisted by Lewis James. The two races were run over triangular courses which all Tenby sailors are accustomed with.
Race one was in a force 2 westerly, with force 3 gusts. Peter and Igor in the Scorpion claimed first place. They were followed by John Morris in a Laser, with Dyfan providing good competition in the single-handed contingent of the fleet. Closing out the first race were John and Steve in fourth place in the Osprey.
Race two was a similar affair, with the wind increasing slightly to a force 3, with gusts up to force 4. Once again the race was won by Peter in the Scorpion, with a familiar second and third place arrangement of John and Dyfan; Jon and Steve retired from the second race.
With the start of December we enter the last month of the frostbite racing series before the winter break, with racing starting again April 2018.
The results of the series so far see Peter in the Scorpion in first place, with Mike Stace in his Osprey second and Dan Jackson a very close third in his Osprey Jennifer.
