Breast cancer Now charity dip: What fabulous turnout and weather we had last Sunday for our Nippy Dip on the North Beach, Tenby. Aces friends Zoe and Chris Mcbeth from Colchester have organised several events for this year for this charity so, we decided to join in the fun and do our bit! All we had to do was get in and get wet, a great sum of £150 was raised on the day.
ETU European Powerman middle distance duathlon championships, Vejle in Denmark being the host city - Vicky Jones: Vicky did a great time of four hours 05 for 10km run/60km bike and another 10km run - did a personal best for one of her runs, but her chain got trapped so this delayed her bike.
Welsh Cycling Association 25-mile time trial championships in the Vale of Neath - Colin Barrett in a pb of 58 mins 43 and Ricki Morgan in 57 mins 29 (riding for NBCC). Well done to all Pembrokeshire riders.
Club rides: All rides will leave Tenby Leisure centre car park at 6.30 pm from now on. We have three groups - with a sweeper led social group with the intent that no-one gets left behind and all get a ride to suit their abilities. Front lights, back lights and helmets a must on all rides.

Thursday, May 17, Route 67: (Ridgeway x2 + Maidenwells): Tenby, Ridgeway to Lamphey, Lower Lamphey road to Pembroke, Commons, left up St. Daniels Hill, Maidenwells, turn right for Hundleton, Monkton, Pembroke Main Street, Upper Lamphey Road and Ridgeway back to TLC (24 miles) Sweepers Andy Adamson and Adrian Wilson.
Caldey Island 5KM and 10KM Run, Saturday, June 23: £20 per adult for the boat trip and run, Under 18s £5 for boat trip and run. If you would like to come over to support runners, the boat trip is £10. This is open to anyone, they do not need to be club members. The more the merrier for charity! After another very successful day last year, Ben Childs and the Aces and Caldey Islanders are hosting this event again. We route is on the path up from the Priory grounds along the cliff path to the lighthouse and along further and back down to start then do another 5km loop. The Caldey boats take us over at 8 am for a 9 am start before it gets busy. We then spent the day exploring or on the beach with BBQ and playing rounders! If you would like to join us, please let Nicola know on 07932791841 before the end of May or send her a message on Facebook stating how many you want to book for, including adult runners, kids who would like to run and passenger places. we can then advise Caldey how many boats will be needed. You can either pay me directly or by BACS.
