SUNDAY RACE REPORTS
In challenging conditions, the fleet of 10 dinghies took part in the sixth race of the late summer series. Keith Jones set of course around the Amroth, Pendine and Monkstone marks. Simon and Maurice fought a closely contended contest. Simon snatched victory. Just six seconds separated the two of them. Young Sam found the conditions just too much, but no doubt benefited from the experience. Unfortunately, Emma had a broken tiller extension and also had to retire. When a mounting on the starboard side shroud mounting came apart dramatically, the mast collapsed. Fortunately, no damage was done and there was no injury except to the helmsman’s pride. The Tasar Alan and Martin will be back!
