A brave team of golfers took to the course last Wednesday to take on the 72 hole challenge to raise funds for Macmillan Nurses. The team consisted of general manager Tom Beynon, chef Aaron Smith and restaurant staff Darcy Escott and Morgan Duckett. Starting at 6 am in blistering sunshine, it looked like the day was going to be a tough one under the Pembrokeshire sunshine. Thankfully, the clouds arrived and the temperature dropped providing perfect conditions for the attempt. Following a steady start, the pace picked up and 36 holes were completed in under five hours. Keen to keep good time, it was decided not to break. The fab four kicked on into rounds three and four, completing their task at 5 pm and well under the 12 hour target they set themselves. Over £1,000 has been raised so far with the sponsor form still available in the bar should anyone still wish to donate. The team would like to thank everyone who has donated and those who helped on the day. The club are extremely proud of their achievement and we look forward to more brave golfers signing up next year!
