The Dyfed Junior Championships were held at Tenby Golf Club last week in conjunction with the Tenby Junior Open.
The Dyfed Championships is a gross competition played over 36 holes. Luke, playing off scratch, recorded two impressive rounds of 73 and 71, to add the Junior title to the Senior title he won three years ago.
The best nett over 36 holes, to win the Dai Linquist trophy, was by Llew Jones, of Glyn Abbey.
The Alan Scott trophy for the best U13 was awarded to Joss Lerwill, of Newport Links.
In the girls 18-hole gross medal, the winner was Ffion Evans, of Newport Links, with a score of 75.
The yellow box Stableford was won by Osian Griffiths, of Glyn Abbey, with 39 points.
Tenby Golf Club also arranged a very successful six-hole adjusted Stableford competition, meaning that a total of 73 youngsters played at Tenby last week.
This event was also the final event in the County Order of Merit. This has been a close run affair all season, with Carmarthen, Milford Haven and Newport Links challenging for the team event; Milford Haven eventually running out winners.
The individual Order of Merit event went to Sam Thomas, of Newport Links, who has played consistently all season.
The county would like to thank the captain and committee of Tenby Golf Club for allowing them to stage the championships at the links course.
This proved to be a challenging, but enjoyable day for all those who took part.
