The 38th Tenby Open Week concluded last Friday with the ever-popular team of four competition sponsored by Rigby Taylor.

It was an extremely successful week, despite some challenging weather conditions, particularly on the Monday and Tuesday.

The weather did not dampen the spirits of the many visitors and members who enjoyed the different formats of golf each day, and despite the strong winds, some excellent scores were returned.

This was testament to the condition of the course, which was greatly praised by the visitors each day, who enjoyed the firm, fast fairways and true, fast greens, which held up extremely well, despite the amount of rounds played and the considerable rainfall!

Following the presentations on Friday evening, club secretary, David Hancock, thanked all the competitors who took part, as well as all the Tenby GC staff, the bar and catering and Pro Shop staff, the TGC volunteers, club captain Neil Thomas, and in particular Open Week organiser Austin Davies, for their hard work and dedication in making the week such a success.

2018 advance bookings are already coming in thick and fast and anyone interested in taking part in this great week can secure their place with a £20 deposit. Contact the club for further information.
