Four pupils from Pembroke School were presented with their Rotary Young Leader certificates at last Thursday's dinner meeting of Pembroke Rotary Club at The Court Hotel, Lamphey. The club had sponsored Lauren Williams, Megan Evans, Alexandrea Beard and Rhys James to attend the Young Leadership course which was held last August at Dolygaer Centre in the Brecon Beacons. The pupils had been chosen out of a strong field of candidates from Pembroke School. The week of outdoor pursuits to boost confidence and leadership skills was thoroughly enjoyed by the four. Each pupil expressed their gratitude to the Rotary Club for their sponsorship and the benefit they had derived from their experience was evident in their enthusiasm. Mr. Daryl John, head of skills from Pembroke School, also thanked the Rotary Club for their continued support to the school.
