Pictured here are some of the shoe boxes filled with Christmas gifts destined for children of third world countries. The members of Pennar Community Church have joined forces with the children of Pennar Community School to support the Christian charity, Samaritans Purse in its 'Operation Christmas Child - the power of a simple gift'. The gifts may seem 'simple' to ourselves, but we are assured they are as a treasure trove to children who otherwise would have nothing. Now in its 23rd year, Operation Christmas Child will be delivering its millionth shoe box in this year's distribution.
