Easter is on its way and here at Tenby Library we are having a children’s Easter Crafts drop-in day on April 18.

There’s no charge and no need to book, just come by any time from 10 am until 4.30 pm and try your hand at some Easter crafting.

For younger children, Baby Rhyme Time is on every Tuesday morning in term-time at 10.30 am for half an hour of stories and songs for pre-school age children and their adults. There’s no need to book for this, and there’s no charge, just turn up and enjoy the fun.

If you are confused by your smartphone, laptop or tablet, then our Digital Champion Volunteer Roger runs a drop-in session every Monday morning 10-12, just bring your gadget along and ask your question.

There’s no need to book and it’s free. If you have a more in-depth question for him, there are two bookable periods, also free of charge, one at 12 to 12.30 pm and the other at 12.30 to 1 pm.

There is also some computing assistance on offer at Saundersfoot Library as our other Digital Champion Volunteer Simon will be there on Tuesday, April 16 and Tuesday, May 7, 10 am to 1 pm; it is still free but it is necessary to book in advance. Saundersfoot Library started their summer opening hours on April 1; they are now open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm, and re-open every afternoon at 2 pm.

Closing times vary, on Monday to Wednesday they close at 4 pm; on Thursday they close at 5.30 pm; on Friday they close at 5 pm; and on Saturday they close at 3.30 pm.

New books in this month include novels by James Patterson, Katie Fforde and Karen Rose; in non-fiction we have some new books on autism as part of raising awareness for Autism Awareness Week (April 1 to 7).

The new DVDs in this month are The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, Bohemian Rhapsody, and Widows, the new film inspired by the Lynda LaPlante book; DVDs can be rented for a week, with charges starting from £1.75, while books are borrowed for three weeks for free.

Orange recycling bags and food waste bags are also available for free at the library; just ask at the counter.
