Pembrokeshire’s Artistic Licence is getting ready to bring the much-loved comedy Noises Off to the Torch Theatre in February.
The cast is entirely made up of performers who live in Pembrokeshire, including Kerry Steed, Marcus Lewis, Alex Jukes, Laura Barrett, Will Oliver, Janine Lewis, Frank Tobin, Hun Benbow and Chloe Wheeler.
It has been 25 years since the National Theatre’s ground-breaking production of Michael Frayn’s hilarious farce first wowed audiences, and now Artistic Licence is proud to present its own take on what many critics have called “the greatest farce ever written.”
Packed with slamming doors, flying sardines and backstage chaos, Noises Off follows a theatre company whose performance is rapidly falling apart - both on stage and off! It’s a love letter to live theatre and the perfect night out for anyone who’s ever been on stage… or in the audience.
Carol, Tricia and Marcus say: “We’re so excited to be bringing ‘Noises Off’ to the Torch. It’s one of the funniest plays ever written, and it’s a real treat to work with such a talented group of local performers.”
Artistic Licence was founded by Carol Mackintosh, Trisha Biffen and Marcus Lewis, who set up the company to bring classic plays and brilliant comedy to local audiences - and to give Pembrokeshire performers the chance to appear on stage at the county’s only professional producing theatre venue.
“Artistic Licence is all about celebrating great writing and giving Pembrokeshire talent a chance to shine - and ‘Noises Off’ is the perfect show for that.”
Performances take place at the Torch Theatre, Miford Haven from February 5 to 7, 2026, with tickets available now from the Box Office on 01646 695267 or at torchtheatre.co.uk. For anyone who loves theatre, laughter, and a good dose of organised chaos, this is one not to miss!
