Over the weekend, a group of walkers from all over Pembrokeshire took on the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Pembrokeshire Cancer Support.

The 17-strong group conquered Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen-Y-Fan and in the process have raised nearly £3,000 for the charity.

The team would like to thank everyone who sponsored them, with special thanks to Valero - Pembroke Refinery for their sponsorship and Richards Bros for assisting with the travel arrangements.

Pembrokeshire Cancer Support is based in Pembroke Dock, but does outreach throughout the county.

Lyn Neville, the charity co-ordinator, said: “We would like to say a very big ‘thank you’ to all who took part in this amazing challenge.

“It never ceases to amaze the lengths that people will go to to help those in need of support. The funds raised will help cancer sufferers and carers in the charity’s Support Centre and around Pembrokeshire.”
