The Valero Volunteer ouncil - in conjunction with Keep Wales Tidy - saw around half-a-dozen volunteers from Pembroke Refinery clear and clean up Kilpaison Beach near the refinery recently. They were also joined by Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority ranger Haydn Garlick and his team of volunteers. The project was co-ordinated by Dominic McDonough, environmental specialist for Valero Pembroke: "The volunteers gladly gave up their time to ensure that the beach was clean, and worked hard in an effort to keep the beach in an acceptable condition," he said. Keep Wales Tidy representative Mari Williams, said of the project: "I would like to thank everyone who was involved in the clean up, and would also like to thank the Valero Volunteer Council for their efforts in helping to keep their local beaches clean and at their best."
