HUNDLETON WI members heard from guest speaker Trish Power about women’s crimes and punishments through the ages at their January meeting.

Members of the Women’s Institute based near Pembroke heard the cruel and gruesome deeds carried out to young women. A vote of thanks was given by Carolyn Monk.

Winners of the monthly competition, ‘A Crime Related Item’ were: 1st Jayne Smith; 2nd Marilyn Williams; 3rd Jackie Cunningham.

The next meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 3 at Gilead School Room, starting at 2pm. Guest speaker Michelle Morris will give a talk titled ‘What is an Ombudsman?’.
