This week Albie Smosarski, owner of Cofion Books, Bridge Street, Tenby has expressed his gratitude for the support shown on behalf of the 2021 Tenby Vintage Memories Calendar.

Production of this year’s calendar had been delayed because of the Covid-19 restrictions.

“Despite many lockdowns we were very pleased with the tremendous support that we received,” he said.

With only 21 left, Albie has arranged with Vince and Fi Malone, of Tenby Stores and Post Office to distribute the remaining calendars free of charge to elderly and vulnerable people in the local area with their grocery orders.

Albie was, of course, the writer of the popular ‘Cofion Corner’ feature in the Tenby Times for many years. He is a well known postcard dealer, and the Tenby Vintage Memories Calendar, which has now seen two editions, features old vintage postcard scenes of Tenby, some over 100 years old from the Edwardian era.

“It was lovely to be able to do this,” he added, “and huge thanks to Vince and Fi for their help.

“We are already working hard producing the 2022 version.”
