At last week's celebrating success awards held in Swansea, two local people were recognised for their outstanding youth and community work in the county.
Paul Dyson, of Pembroke Dock Fire Station, received the top honours in the individual achievement award for his dedication in setting up a young firefighters project in Pembroke Dock, and giving up so much of his own time. This also includes many weekends for the Duke of Edinburgh awards where he has been very pro-active in his role as a team leader.
The young persons achievement award went to Emily Morris. Emily, who herself became a young firefighter cadet some years ago, has now become a trainer and youth leader herself and works on an endless basis to help and support new cadets.
Just missing out on the main award was Dafydd Reeves. He like Emily trains new young firefighter cadets.
