A splendid meal at The Station, Pembroke Dock, was enjoyed by 25 of the ladies of Pennar Community Church, marking the close of their activities until September. Nonetheless, some of the ladies remain active as they support the coffee morning on Monday at 10 am in Pembroke Town Hall.

The proceeds are for Christian Aid which seeks to alleviate the sufferings of people in third world countries.

Other church activities are Sunday services at 11 am and 6 pm, led by Rev. Roger Hart, and prayer meeting on Monday at 7.30 pm.

Community activities 'slow down' too as the holiday season advances. Fat Club meets on Wednesday at 7.15, while Thursday sees no let up for Rodgers Ranch Line Dancers at 8 pm.

A warm welcome is extended to each of these activities.
