To mark Her Majesty The Queen’s birthday on April 21 a special beacon lighting ceremony took place on Tenby Harbour.
Arranged by Tenby Town Council, the special commemorative lighting ceremony formed part of a UK wide network of beacons to celebrate Her Majesty’s 90th birthday.
Members of Tenby Sea Cadets were present along with Deputy Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane and the town’s Mayor, Clr. Paul Rapi, who was given the honour of lighting the beacon.
Town crier Teifion Powell opened the ceremony, while Sergeant-at-Arms, the Rev John Morgan, offered a prayer of thanks for the Queen’s long service.
God Save the Queen was played on cornets by Adam Hensman and Peter Greenway.
