Re, the letter ‘Surgery Bench’ in the Tenby Observer dated Friday, January 13. I have some sympathy, as not only was I present during the discussion, but I was the first to arrive, and during my waiting a thought came to my mind that it would be nice to have a seat to rest while waiting for the surgery to open! I know it is our choice to arrive early and wait until surgery is open.

I agree with the comments that it would be helpful if the first arrival of the staff could open the outer door so that during inclement weather we could be saved from being soaked!

I also agree with the comments that it would also give patients access to a toilet should they be in need of one.
