The sun shone brightly for the residents and visitors on Saturday to enjoy Jameston annual summer fayre.
There were the usual first class stalls of local crafts and cakes enough to weigh down the most reliable tables, plus the usual attraction stalls for old and young, one being a ‘name the cockerel,’ who decided after being caged all afternoon, he was hot footing it around the farm with several helpers chasing.
There was a very large contribution to the raffle and thanks go to Springfield and Mrs. Helen Brickell for their donations to the strawberry teas and Ray and Chris Hughes for the superb barbecue which was all helped along by the continuous music from Fred Thomas on the organ which was once again enjoyed by everyone.
Thanks to all who supported the event.
