Hywel, who is himself a type 1 diabetic, earlier this year took part in a sponsored swim when he swam the equivalent miles of the English Channel.

The total raised by Hywel was a fantastic £798. Well done Hywel, a huge thank you from Diabetes UK (Cymru).

A quiz followed the presentation, where the questions were ably read by quizmaster Dilwyn Davies, which resulted in another £134.60 being raised for the charity, a thank you to all who supported both on the night, and with raffle prizes
