A solution may have been found to problems concerning vehicle access at Tenby’s Knowling Mead.

Pembrokeshire County Council’s transportation department recently admitted that they appeared to be ‘stuck in the mud’ over carrying out improvement works at the Knowling Mead roundabout, in response to concerns from local residents who had claimed that the matter was becoming a danger, as even emergency service vehicles were having trouble accessing the estate.

A spokesperson for PCC recently said that as traffic and highway budgets had been severely reduced in recent years, unfortunately there was no funding available to carry out improvements in that area.

However, speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of Tenby Town Council, Clr. Mike Evans informed his fellow members that the authority was in the process of writing to residents of Knowling Mead asking them to consider a proposal of tarmacing over the problem ‘circle’.
