Tenby’s senior citizens were given some early Christmas cheer this week, with free festive dinners delivered to their doors.
As the annual senior citizens’ Christmas dinner organised by Tenby Round Table could not take place at the town’s De Valence venue this year due to the pandemic, The Qube restaurant have worked together with the charitable organisation to prepare a traditional festive dish to be delivered safely to the homes of those eligible.
Tenby’s Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sam Skyrme Blackhall who was also on hand to help out said: “I am delighted that Tenby Town Council was able to give £3,000 towards this event.
“However, the event would not have happened without Matt Ronowitz and Tenby Round Table and all the volunteers including staff who worked for free.
“Huge congratulations to Matt of The Qube and The Cove, Tenby Round Table, and all the sponsors.
“This has been an extraordinary year but Tenby has come together to maintain the tradition of a senior citizens Christmas dinner.
“Hopefully next year, we will all be back together at the De Valence,” she added.
