Ever been to the huge park in Skrinkle, Manorbier? Would you hate to see it go? Well it’s going and it’s up to us parents and grandparents to put one back because of council cuts, we’re raising the money! That’s the message from campaigners fighting to save Skrinkle Park this week.

They have launched a fundraising online fund this week and are appealing for support.

“Come on friends and families of Manorbier, let’s do this together,” said campaigner Danielle Thomas. “Let’s save our local play area. All children have the right to safe play.”

She continued: “Twenty-three years ago, ladies from this community managed to raise funds and help put this park in place. Twenty-three years later, it’s up to us, the next generation to ensure it’s rebuilt to last another couple of decades.

“This target is huge! We will do this with everyone’s help and support.”

Danielle added: “I just love to help my friends with their Just Giving or Crowdfunding pages that have been set-up for a multitude of reasons. I think every little helps so I ask you to help.

“Over 150 children use this area during the summer months. We want this park in place as soon as possible for our youngsters. Can you help us reach this target in 56 days? Every little helps guys and we really would appreciate the shares amongst friends, families and businesses if you can.

“Skrinkle Park will be saved with the help of the wider communities too.

“Follow the link and take a look and huge thanks for those donations already coming in.”
