This year’s ‘Sapper Scholarship’ has been awarded to Owen Thomas of Ysgol Harri Tudor, Pembroke.

Mr. Dennis Taylor, a retired Royal Engineer, was pleased to present this year’s candidate with the award.

Some time ago the local branch of the Royal Engineers donated £40,000 to set up the scholarship to assist pupils of the school with their studies and college work.

The fund has been administered by Mr. Jones and his colleagues and we are pleased with the results that have been achieved over.
