Sir, It was with great sadness we, Tenby Civic Society committee, learnt of the recent passing of John Beynon, former honorary curator of Tenby Museum and Art Gallery from 1995 to 2007, leading light in Tenby Arts Club and contributor to other Tenby organisations, among which was his great input as a committee member of the Civic Society over a number of years until his resignation after his recent illness.

We understand that the funeral will be a private one for family members only and we must, of course, respect those wishes. Close friends of John we hope will attend but not as Civic Society representatives.

We would be very grateful therefore if this newspaper could include this letter in its letter section as a small but public recognition of the loss we feel of an incisive and erudite contributor to the work of the society over a long period.
