Rhys Dow, of Pembroke, recently ran the Cardiff Half Marathon to raise funds for the Paul Sartori Foundation in memory of his great-grandmother Marjorie Stokes, of Lamphey, who passed away in May.

The family had received wonderful support from the foundation in the latter days of Marjorie's life and Rhys decided he would like to run the race to raise funds for the charity by way of gratitude.

He raised the magnificent sum of £1,000 and is pictured here presenting the cheque to Toni-Marie Dorkins, fundraising co-ordinator at their Haverfordwest headquarters.

A student at university in Cardiff, he completed the race in two hours three minutes.

The Paul Sartori Foundation provides hospice at home care to support relatives of terminally ill patients and can be contacted at 01437 763223.
