Did last week’s Spring like weather make venturing out a more attractive prospect?
Were you snapping pics of primroses, catkins and lambs gambolling in the fields?
Or perhaps you were on the beach, looking at the predations the high tides made in the last big gale.
All entries will be displayed in shop windows around the town during September, with judging to take place at the end of August, but you can start submitting your photos now.
First prize will be a meal for two, valued at £50 at a local restaurant; and second and third prizes £30 and £20, to be spent in local shops (prizes sponsored by the festival committee).
There will also be a junior section, (under 16s), with prizes too.
Pictures must be mounted, up to max size A3, and clearly marked with name and contact details, and age, if junior. Please cover in wipeable plastic, for Covid reasons.
Arrangements had been made with several local shops to act as collecting points, where mounted photos could be handed in, but unfortunately Covid got in the way of the plans. However, the food outlets listed below have stepped in to help out.
“We are grateful for everyone’s cooperation, and look forward to seeing the original participants opening soon,” said June Howell of the Arts Festival.
“Like everything else, the Arts Festival, planned for late September, is still ‘up in the air’ - but we hope to be give out some definite information soon.
“Never mind - the photo competition will be a definite, so keep those pics coming in!”
Entrants can hand them in to: The Little Pantry (in market); Loafly and Country Kitchen (Upper Frog Street), or The Grape Tree (Tudor Square).
“We are also grateful to Tenby and District Camera Club, for their support, and assistance with final judging,” added June.
