HUGE Congratulations to Peter Milewski and Tim Dean on winning the Welsh Bridge Union ‘Champion of Champions’ competition in Porthcawl.
Twenty pairs participated in the event with Pembroke winning the overall tournament. The 2nd pair representing the club, Mike Baker and Steve Jarvis finished in 5th place. Well done to both pairs!
Results from club last week were as follows: Tuesday, June 27: Seven tables at Lamphey Village Hall, 1st Tim Dean and Mike Baker ; 2nd Peter Milewski and Graham Hadlow; 3rd Derek Earle and Cindy Middleton; 4th Liz Crockford and Brenda Harris; Joint 5th Kay John and Frances Williams - Wayne Jenkins and Gareth Jones.
Friday, June 30: Nine tables on Bridge Base Online, Top North/South Peter Milewski and Mike Baker; 2nd Mike Lawler and Betty O’Keefe; 3rd Keith and Avril Thompson; Top East/West Martin and Aileen Neilan; 2nd Frances Williams and Cindy Middleton; 3rd Carmel Wiseman and Peter Oeppen.
Pembroke Bridge Club play duplicate bridge on Tuesday afternoons face to face in Lamphey Village Hall, Pembroke, beginning at 1pm, visitors and new members always welcome!
